Based on seeing Yann Kebbi work I decided to work in coloured pencil. The way the tones of blue blended into each other while keeping a sense of energy within the lines made the piece feel very thought out and crafted. However I don't think this would work for all of my pieces and as I want to keep all media similar throughout I have chosen not to use pencil.

Using two tones of red gouache to create low lights.

The blue backgrounds fill didn't fade like the red did. When doing final one maybe look into this more.

Going to do the background one colour fading instead of two as it feels like it unnecessary breaks up the picture. Gouache has proven tricky to work with as when rubbing out pencil line the gouache has smudge ruining the piece. Look into less sketch line work or getting rid of lines on photoshop after.

Decided to inverse colours as it feels like a bolder and more impactful piece this way.
