I'm thinking of sitting on the Parkinson steps from 11:30 -2 next week to capture the business of a university campus and the city mingling together.

Looking over this brief, and the previous winners and themes of the competition I think a big thing about this brief is colour and a sense of either high crafted or hand made aesthetic to it. The work being able to tell a story whether abstract or linear is important to them, and also makes it accessible to the public who will be seeing the work all over town. It's important to use the underground transport logo if you're not going to use vehicles although vehicles are still important to the brief.
illustration isn't solely focused on London transport but how the transport is an integral part of london life even in the smallest ways. There is a strong sense of texture and craft in this work, using more muted colours to allow for a denser sense of texture allows the piece to not be too overwhelmed by the contrast of different patterns and textures.
