OUIL405 Further Research and Initial Ideas

Going to the discovery centre in Leeds I learnt that most bottles of wine for ye olde time where made out of a thick green glass that could be reused and had the makers mark stamped into it.

Wine glasses where much smaller in the day as the wine was a lot more fortified than it is today.

Started to sketch out ways of using characters to display information learnt in a fun and informative way.
Learnt the benefits of a light box, which will come in handy for helping get rid of unwanted sketch lines on work.

Looked at developing these two characters to represent the contrasting ideals of wine culture. The high class and low class sides to wine drinking.

Maybe each wine is a different type for example rose and red or red and white?

Learnt that I can become more focused on creating characters than focusing in the information I've learnt to develop work. There needs to be a more direct link between the work I produce and the information I've gathered.
